Genesis Elevator Company completed a custom residential elevator installation in Vizcaya, a prominent neighborhood on the west end of 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. The Spec home was built by David Clegg of Emerald Dream Development and sold within a month of completion.

 

Mr. Clegg raved about the service and installation completed by Genesis Elevator Company, and is very happy with the performance of this hydraulic elevator. This elevator’s custom cab featured an applied trim with a custom stain and custom gate.

A common error when laying out a home for a residential elevator is not accounting for the equipment needed to drive the elevator system. It’s good to have an idea of what type of system you want to use during the design stage of your home.

This hydraulic elevator install was used in a home on 30A along the Emerald Coast of Florida. A closet adjacent to the elevator shaft was used for the equipment.

If you do not have an available closet adjacent to the elevator shaft, contact your Genesis Elevator Company representative for a creative solution.Although it is not preferred, the machine room can be located up to 50 feet from the elevator shaft for a hydraulic application.

In other cases, Genesis has Machine-Room-Less options. With this option, all elevator equipment can be located inside the shaft but proper overhead space is required. Give Genesis Elevator Company a call to decide which option best fits your application. 770-423-1095

Here’s a home elevator option that will open things up. A clear gate can give yon open feel in a small space such as an residential elevator.

This gate was recently added to one of 6 home elevators that Genesis is installing for Blue Door Homes in the Tresca Subdivision of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. This option can be paired with an observation panel (a window), or a mirror to give you added perception of making a small space larger. If the construction of the elevator shaft permits, we can also go up to 8 feet in height with a platform size of up to 15 square feet, which is the maximum allowed by residential elevator code. This past month Genesis Elevator Company partnered with AVI (Architectural Visions, Inc.) to host an AIA training event and barbecue.

Contractors and AIA members joined together for continuing education and training sessions, as well as allowing representatives from different areas of the construction industry to market and mingle.

Below is a picture of our VP of Residential Sales, Bo Collins, giving a lecture on the benefits of adding elevators to new and existing construction.

At Genesis Elevator Company, we deeply value the motto “Do the Right Thing”.

We want to recognize one of our service technicians for an outstanding example of this set of values. Yesterday while he was performing a Residential PM, AJ found a diamond ring in the pit of the elevator. He immediately brought the ring up to the owners.

The owners were blown away that AJ had not only found a family heirloom, which had been missing for a year, but they were truly blown away by his integrity.

We are so proud of AJ’s dedication to integrity, honesty and doing the right thing. Way to go!
